Pets Loving Their Cozy Kennels/Crates
LuceNothing more perfect than this carrier
We were surprised by how well-made this carrier was. It's sturdy, roomy, comfy, and fashionable. Our cat jumped right in when we opened it and didn't want to come out. The air flows so well and the inside padding is soft that our cat now naps/sleeps in it a lot. This carrier is made with solid materials yet it is not heavy at all. The handle of this carrier makes it easy to carry . It sits and can be secured well in the car, which makes travels with the pet easily.
AndyNot just for dogs!
I was looking for something I could use for both my dog and bunny and really scored with this. My dog is blind and falls off the car seats. This creates a safe place for him in the car and he already seems to have less anxiety on car rides. The real winner for me is that it is perfect for my bunny. She is 5lbs and fits with room to spare. I love that it has windows for her but can also be entirely closed off so she doesn’t get stressed out.
Dr. PerfectionistBeautifully made!
Its extremely well made and the design is marvelous, very versatile with blinds and mesh everywhere to adjust the amount of exposure to the outside world you want for your pet...I would highly recommend if you’re picky about your things like me and want the best of everything (but still within a budget).
RamonaIf I could- I would give it 6 stars! So so pretty and sturdy and cozy. My dog didn’t want to leave the seat anymore.
Setting it up in the car is easy and straight forward. Just take the seatbelt and line through the frame.
I, personally, don’t leash the he dog in the carrier since I am closing the top while driving. The closure on the top part is pretty strong and snaps in and out safe.
Also glad I chose the color (with the flowers) since it makes the entire thing look more cheerful and expensive (lol).
SashasamI love FikaGO Sway carriers! This is my second purchase of this brand and style of carrier. I love the quality and functionality, not to mention that these carriers are so attractive and unique. My cat can stand up in this carrier, unlike many other kinds of carriers. It can secure safely to seatbelts. The carrying handle is comfortable. The only negative is the pad on the bottom of the carrier is too thin, but no matter, I just ordered a thicker one for my kitty's comfort. If you think this carrier is too expensive, well, I paid more for the K&H Mod Capsule and the absurdly-priced Sleepypod, and I don't use either of them. It's easier to get your pet in and out of the FikaGO compared to those two. And much more spacious. And you do not sacrifice quality! There is one of similar style but not quality called the PetGear 360, and I own one of them too. I thought it would have better air flow for use in the summer. But I am afraid to use it. The bar at the bottom is very hard to put in place and easy to move out of place when you set the carrier down. And when that happens, the carrier collapses on the cat! I have never had that happen with the frame on my two FikaGOs. So now that I have discovered FikaGO and now own two (Oslo Forest and Nordic Garden), I have a lot of carriers that I just don't use anymore! Because when you find the best, ignore the rest! I highly recommend this carrier.
DTaylorMy 9 lb cat fits very comfortably in this. High quality materials and construction. I have taken my cat to the vet and groomers a few times in it. I recently bought a Midwest x-small fuzzy crate pad to put inside to make it cozier (12x18 pads should fit).
THI want one of these is every color, alas, I don’t have Bezos money, I just spend like I do sometimes. I really, really, really loved this carrier. I’ve always used a backpack but my old girl is now 16, has arthritis, and needs to be sedated for monthly vet visits. It was getting to hard for me to get her in and out of the backpack as the only opening was the top and she’d turn into a wet noodle so I’d worry I was literally dropping her in or hurting her trying not to deal her in and same for getting her out. I wanted something that was really structured like the backpack, gave her lots of room (as much room as any carrier gives), and that was easy for me to carry as I not only have the upper body strength of an infant because I only ever trained lower body, but I also have arthritis from injuries caused by said training. This this is sturdy af, the cat literally slept in it in for hours the day a got it, and it was easy to put together and carry. I also really love that you can open and close line of sight. My cats fine with car rides, loves being outside, the second we’re in the vet she’s ready to murder everyone. It’s nice being able to close everything up in the car before we go in and open it back up after when back in the car and she’s immediately calm again. Here’s why I returned it - one of the closures was SO HARD to close. I ended up actually bruising my hand from pressing so hard and slamming my hand into it for so long. I then was always worried I would accidentally unlatch that side and be stuck trying to close it when needed and would be screwed. The plan was to replace it but I ended up finding a different brand that was about $30 cheaper and had a booster so I’m giving that a try for now but I already miss the one and will probably end up reordering it honestly…maybe I just have two? Why am I like this? Someone take my adult money…
Ella La CounteJust perfect

meagenelizabethmuaAMAZING
MY husband and I are over the road truck drivers and we have to have our 2 little chiuahuas with us. My oldest dog Rosie, has cataracts and was having issues when we drove the truck. I had saw this and thought to give it a try and OMG!!! She is less anxious, more safe and is more comfortable being in a truck now! Honestly she prefers being in there than not.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Portable Pet Kennels/Crates
What should I look for in a portable dog crate for travel?
The features that matter most for travel are a compact folded profile that fits in a car trunk alongside luggage, a setup process with no tools or loose parts to misplace, a secure closure that stays shut once your dog is inside, and a washable interior for cleaning between trips. Weight matters too. A crate one person can lift and carry alone is genuinely portable; one that takes two people to move isn't. Soft-sided crates with internal rigid frames tend to offer the best balance for most road trips and overnight stays, holding their shape like a hard crate while folding flat for storage. FikaGO's portable dog crates collapse to 4 to 6 inches high and stay under 15 lbs in the XS and S sizes, which makes them practical to lift and load on your own.
Which type of portable dog crate is the easiest to set up?
Soft-sided collapsible crates with a one-step fold design are the easiest to set up, opening from flat to fully assembled in seconds with no loose parts to manage. Fabric crates with manual tension-rod frames come next, typically requiring poles to be threaded through sleeves and clipped into place. Wire crates can also be slow or clunky to maneuver, as they require lifting heavy, pre-hinged metal panels into alignment and manually latching the front and back walls into place. For anyone setting up and packing away regularly, whether at campsites, hotels, or between home and car, a one-step fold design is the most practical. FikaGO's QUEEN range uses a one-click locking frame that opens and folds flat without tools or loose parts, with a quick-release buckle that holds the folded crate secure for storage or transport.
Can a foldable dog kennel be used as a permanent indoor home?
Yes, as long as the kennel gives your dog enough room to stand, turn, and lie down, has a leak-proof or washable base, and stays structurally stable once assembled. For full-time indoor use, look for a cushioned base for comfort, ventilated side panels for steady airflow, and a secure door closure your dog can't nudge open from inside. The FikaGO QUEEN is built to serve both roles, working as a standalone indoor pet home day to day and as a portable travel cabin when you need it, with a leak-resistant inner cushion, multi-window mesh ventilation, and side door access for easy in-and-out.
Does a portable kennel help my dog feel comfortable in new places?
Yes, and it's one of the more underrated reasons pet owners invest in one. Dogs settle faster in unfamiliar environments when something familiar comes with them, and a portable kennel is an effective way to carry that familiarity along. Because the same kennel travels between home, the car, and wherever you're staying, it holds onto your dog's scent, bedding, and the routines they already associate with rest and downtime. That continuity matters in hotels, vacation rentals, road trips, or stays with friends and family, where new smells, sounds, and layouts can otherwise unsettle a pet. Rather than having to adjust to a completely new space, your dog steps into a setup they already recognize as theirs. FikaGO's QUEEN range is designed for this dual role, working as a standalone indoor home day to day and folding flat to travel with you, so the same trusted space goes wherever your dog does.
