Why Choose FikaGO Travel Carriers?
Not every soft pet carrier is built to the same standard. FikaGO's airline-approved carriers are designed from the ground up for the demands of real travel — structured enough to hold their shape under a seat, ventilated enough for a long flight, and refined enough to carry through an airport without looking like an afterthought. Designed with a Nordic-inspired aesthetic and premium materials, every carrier fits into your journey the way a quality travel bag does.
Internal Safety Tether & Secure Closure
Every FikaGO travel carrier includes an internal leash attachment that keeps your pet safely clipped in throughout the journey — including during TSA screening, boarding, and in-flight movement. The zipper pulls are designed to resist pawing from the inside, so there is no risk of your pet nudging their way out at the worst possible moment.
Breathable Mesh & Ventilation
Multi-panel mesh construction keeps fresh air circulating around your pet throughout the trip — whether you’re waiting at the gate, stowed under a seat, or making your way through a busy terminal. The mesh is reinforced to hold its shape without collapsing inward, ensuring airflow is never compromised even when the carrier is fully loaded.
Ultra-Compact Fold & Shoulder Carry
When not in use, FikaGO carriers fold flat for easy storage in a suitcase, overhead bin, or closet. Padded, adjustable shoulder straps and a reinforced carry handle give you multiple options for how you move through the airport. The structured base keeps the carrier upright and stable whether it’s sitting on the floor, a seat, or a luggage trolley.
TSA & Airline-Approved – Guaranteed Under-Seat Fit
FikaGO's soft-sided carriers are designed and tested to meet these requirements across major U.S. carriers — so you can travel with confidence. Here’s a guide to ensuring your TSA-approved pet carrier meets the specifications.

Pet Size Guide
Before purchasing any airline-compliant pet carrier, it’s important to measure your pet — not just weigh them. A pet that meets the weight limit may still be too long or too tall to travel comfortably.

To find the right fit, take three measurements while your pet is standing:
- Length — from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail
- Height — when standing, from the floor to the top of the head or ears
- Width — across the widest point between the shoulders
Pro tip: Your pet should be able to stand upright, turn around fully, and lie down naturally inside the travel carrier. If they can only do one or two of these, size up. Add 1–2 inches to these measurements to ensure your pet can turn around and stretch.
Built for the Journey
The TRUFFLE is a soft-sided carrier purpose-built for airport travel and everyday use; designed to move with you from check-in to landing without compromise.
Key travel functions include:
- Under-seat compatible dimensions — sized to slide under the seat in front of you without force or adjustment
- Detachable shoulder strap — carry hands-free through check-in, security, and boarding
- Internal safety tether — keeps your pet clipped in and secure during movement and transit
- Collapsible structure — folds flat when empty for compact storage in your luggage
- Removable base pad — washable lining for easy cleaning after travel
Whether you’re buying an airline-approved pet carrier for a one-time trip or looking for a travel carrier your pet will use regularly, the TRUFFLE is designed to handle both with equal reliability.
Real Pets, Real Travel
LuceNothing more perfect than this carrier
We were surprised by how well-made this carrier was. It's sturdy, roomy, comfy, and fashionable. Our cat jumped right in when we opened it and didn't want to come out. The air flows so well and the inside padding is soft that our cat now naps/sleeps in it a lot. This carrier is made with solid materials yet it is not heavy at all. The handle of this carrier makes it easy to carry . It sits and can be secured well in the car, which makes travels with the pet easily.
AndyNot just for dogs!
I was looking for something I could use for both my dog and bunny and really scored with this. My dog is blind and falls off the car seats. This creates a safe place for him in the car and he already seems to have less anxiety on car rides. The real winner for me is that it is perfect for my bunny. She is 5lbs and fits with room to spare. I love that it has windows for her but can also be entirely closed off so she doesn’t get stressed out.
Dr. PerfectionistBeautifully made!
Its extremely well made and the design is marvelous, very versatile with blinds and mesh everywhere to adjust the amount of exposure to the outside world you want for your pet...I would highly recommend if you’re picky about your things like me and want the best of everything (but still within a budget).
RamonaIf I could- I would give it 6 stars! So so pretty and sturdy and cozy. My dog didn’t want to leave the seat anymore.
Setting it up in the car is easy and straight forward. Just take the seatbelt and line through the frame.
I, personally, don’t leash the he dog in the carrier since I am closing the top while driving. The closure on the top part is pretty strong and snaps in and out safe.
Also glad I chose the color (with the flowers) since it makes the entire thing look more cheerful and expensive (lol).
SashasamI love FikaGO Sway carriers! This is my second purchase of this brand and style of carrier. I love the quality and functionality, not to mention that these carriers are so attractive and unique. My cat can stand up in this carrier, unlike many other kinds of carriers. It can secure safely to seatbelts. The carrying handle is comfortable. The only negative is the pad on the bottom of the carrier is too thin, but no matter, I just ordered a thicker one for my kitty's comfort. If you think this carrier is too expensive, well, I paid more for the K&H Mod Capsule and the absurdly-priced Sleepypod, and I don't use either of them. It's easier to get your pet in and out of the FikaGO compared to those two. And much more spacious. And you do not sacrifice quality! There is one of similar style but not quality called the PetGear 360, and I own one of them too. I thought it would have better air flow for use in the summer. But I am afraid to use it. The bar at the bottom is very hard to put in place and easy to move out of place when you set the carrier down. And when that happens, the carrier collapses on the cat! I have never had that happen with the frame on my two FikaGOs. So now that I have discovered FikaGO and now own two (Oslo Forest and Nordic Garden), I have a lot of carriers that I just don't use anymore! Because when you find the best, ignore the rest! I highly recommend this carrier.
DTaylorMy 9 lb cat fits very comfortably in this. High quality materials and construction. I have taken my cat to the vet and groomers a few times in it. I recently bought a Midwest x-small fuzzy crate pad to put inside to make it cozier (12x18 pads should fit).
THI want one of these is every color, alas, I don’t have Bezos money, I just spend like I do sometimes. I really, really, really loved this carrier. I’ve always used a backpack but my old girl is now 16, has arthritis, and needs to be sedated for monthly vet visits. It was getting to hard for me to get her in and out of the backpack as the only opening was the top and she’d turn into a wet noodle so I’d worry I was literally dropping her in or hurting her trying not to deal her in and same for getting her out. I wanted something that was really structured like the backpack, gave her lots of room (as much room as any carrier gives), and that was easy for me to carry as I not only have the upper body strength of an infant because I only ever trained lower body, but I also have arthritis from injuries caused by said training. This this is sturdy af, the cat literally slept in it in for hours the day a got it, and it was easy to put together and carry. I also really love that you can open and close line of sight. My cats fine with car rides, loves being outside, the second we’re in the vet she’s ready to murder everyone. It’s nice being able to close everything up in the car before we go in and open it back up after when back in the car and she’s immediately calm again. Here’s why I returned it - one of the closures was SO HARD to close. I ended up actually bruising my hand from pressing so hard and slamming my hand into it for so long. I then was always worried I would accidentally unlatch that side and be stuck trying to close it when needed and would be screwed. The plan was to replace it but I ended up finding a different brand that was about $30 cheaper and had a booster so I’m giving that a try for now but I already miss the one and will probably end up reordering it honestly…maybe I just have two? Why am I like this? Someone take my adult money…
Ella La CounteJust perfect

meagenelizabethmuaAMAZING
MY husband and I are over the road truck drivers and we have to have our 2 little chiuahuas with us. My oldest dog Rosie, has cataracts and was having issues when we drove the truck. I had saw this and thought to give it a try and OMG!!! She is less anxious, more safe and is more comfortable being in a truck now! Honestly she prefers being in there than not.
Frequently Asked Questions About FikaGO’s Pet Travel Carrier
Does TSA have specific rules about pet carriers at security?
TSA does not certify or approve specific pet carrier brands or models. At the security checkpoint, you will be asked to remove your pet from the carrier and carry them through the body scanner. The empty carrier goes through the X-ray belt separately. Re-secure your pet on the other side before continuing to your gate. A carrier with a wide top or front opening makes this significantly easier, particularly if your pet is anxious in a busy terminal. Compliance with your airline's in-cabin pet policy is a separate requirement from TSA screening, so verify both before you travel.
What dimensions does a pet carrier need to fit under an airline seat?
Most major U.S. airlines require a soft-sided carrier within approximately 18 x 11 x 11 inches (46 x 28 x 28 cm), though exact dimensions vary by airline and aircraft type. Delta, United, American Airlines, Southwest, and Alaska Airlines each publish their own under-seat size requirements, and seat configurations also differ between aircraft on the same airline. Always verify the specific dimensions with your airline before purchasing. Soft-sided carriers are preferable to rigid-framed bags for under-seat travel: they compress slightly to accommodate seats that run narrow, where a hard shell won't.
What size pet carrier do I need for a small dog on a plane?
The most reliable approach is to confirm your airline's under-seat dimensions directly, then measure your dog before purchasing. Check your dog's length (nose to tail base), standing height (floor to the top of the head), and shoulder width. Your dog should be able to sit, stand, and turn around inside the carrier without pressing against the sides. Weight alone is not sufficient guidance: a long-bodied small dog may need more interior length than a compact dog of the same weight.
For pets up to 11 lbs (5 kg), FikaGO's TRUFFLE is designed with under-seat airline travel in mind and sized to meet most major U.S. airline requirements. For pets between 11–22 lbs (5–10 kg), the TRUFFLE PLUS offers extra interior space and comfort, though it is not specifically designed for airline under-seat requirements and may not be accepted for in-cabin travel on all airlines. Always confirm your airline's pet carrier size limits before purchasing or flying.
What is the most important factor when choosing a pet travel carrier?
The single most important factor is fit, both the carrier's fit under the airline seat and your pet's fit inside it. A carrier that meets the weight limit but is too short for your pet to stand or turn around in will cause distress on a long flight. Before purchasing, measure your dog's length (nose to tail base), standing height (floor to the top of the head), and shoulder width, then add 1–2 inches (approx. 2–5 cm) to each measurement. Your pet should be able to stand upright, turn a full circle, and lie down naturally. Beyond dimensions, look for ventilation that keeps air moving without drafts and a secure zipper your pet cannot work open from inside. An interior attachment point to clip your pet's harness adds a useful secondary safety layer.
What should I look for in a stylish soft-sided pet carrier for travel?
A stylish soft-sided carrier balances aesthetics with practical requirements. Look for structured side panels that hold their shape under the seat rather than sagging against your pet, and premium fabric that resists scuffing across repeated trips. The design should read as intentional in an airport or café setting, not purely utilitarian. Functionally, breathable mesh panels should maintain ventilation without disrupting the bag's overall silhouette. Reinforced carry handles and a padded shoulder strap matter more on longer travel days than they might seem when you're shopping. Interior dimensions are as important as exterior design: a well-built carrier should accommodate your pet comfortably without looking oversized from the outside. Minimalist and structured designs, like FikaGO's TRUFFLE range, tend to hold their appearance through heavy use better than trend-driven styles.
